I would like for all of my friends who have seen this (which is most likely all of my friends period) to know that this clip is edited. My friend gave me a DVD which featured the full length version of this which paints a very different picture of the boys, for example there is a clip taken almost seconds later where William says “I bet you’re trying to get footage of us looking like dicks when we’re drunk after the show”. They also have another interview with them about a year later where they mention this interview and how it was taken out of context, and they are calm, well thought out and intellectual. It’s a great piece of explosive footage that makes them look like a bunch of bad ass mother fuckers, but it’s not who The Jesus and Mary Chain really are.
